Ingredients
  

For the whipped feta

  • 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled Use fresh feta for the best flavor.
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it is at room temperature.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice Fresh lemon juice is recommended.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Adjust to taste.

For the crostini

  • 1 baguette sliced into 1/2-inch rounds Use fresh baguette for best texture.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For brushing the baguette slices.

For the hot honey

  • 1/4 cup honey You can substitute with agave syrup for a different sweetness.
  • 1/2–1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust according to heat preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp. Let cool slightly.
  • In a blender, blend feta, cream cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, and black pepper until smooth and creamy. Scrape down sides as needed. Chill until ready to use.
  • Warm the honey and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let infuse for 5–10 minutes. Strain if desired.

Assembly

  • Spread a spoonful of whipped feta onto each crostini. Drizzle with warm hot honey and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve the crostini warm for the best flavor. They pair well with wine or craft beers. Store leftovers in an airtight container for the whipped feta and a separate container for the baked baguette slices.
