Ingredients
  

  • - 1 cup whole milk warm
  • - 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • - ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • - 1 large egg
  • - 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • - 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • - 1 tsp salt
  • - Extra butter for brushing
  • - Optional: cinnamon honey butter

Instructions
 

  • 1. Warm the milk to about 110°F and mix with yeast and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  • 2. Beat in the egg and melted butter.
  • 3. Gradually add flour and salt. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
  • 4. Cover and let the dough rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  • 5. Punch down dough, roll out and cut into rolls.
  • 6. Place on a baking sheet, cover, and let rise again (30–45 minutes).
  • 7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  • 8. Brush with melted butter while still warm.
  • 9. Optional: serve with cinnamon honey butter.

Notes

To reheat rolls, wrap in foil and warm in a 300°F oven for 10 minutes or microwave with a damp paper towel for 10–15 seconds.
