Delicious and easy snack or appetizer combining fresh spinach and rich feta cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped Squeeze out excess moisture after washing.
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped (optional) Can be omitted.

For the pinwheels

  • 1 package puff pastry Can use pre-rolled for convenience.
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  • In a bowl, mix the chopped spinach, feta cheese, cream cheese, dill (if using), salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Spread the spinach and feta mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  • Roll the pastry tightly into a log and slice into pinwheels.
  • Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

These pinwheels are best served warm. They can be enjoyed alone or with a dipping sauce like tzatziki.
