Ingredients
  

For the dough

  • 250 g Gewürz-Spekulatius Finely crushed
  • 200 g peanut butter
  • Zest of one orange organic orange Use organic for best flavor

For the chocolate coating

  • 200 g dark chocolate Good quality chocolate recommended
  • 5 g coconut fat For melting with the chocolate

For finishing

  • coarse sea salt For sprinkling on top

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Finely crush 250 g Gewürz-Spekulatius using a multi-chopper or blender.
  • Add 200 g peanut butter and the zest of one organic orange, and knead into a sandy, greasy dough.
  • Take small portions (about 10 g) and roll into balls.
  • Place the balls in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  • Roll them again to make them smooth and round.

Chocolate Coating

  • Melt 200 g dark chocolate with 5 g coconut fat in a water bath, stirring until well combined.
  • Use a praline fork to dip each ball into the chocolate and place on a cooling rack.
  • Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and let dry completely, preferably overnight.

Notes

For a thicker chocolate coating, dip the balls twice in the melted chocolate. Store in an airtight container.
