  • 1 pint Strawberries Choose firm, brightly colored berries with fresh green caps.
  • 2 medium Oranges Look for navel or sweet varieties.
  • 1 medium Pineapple Fresh delivers a tart-sweet tropical punch.
  • 1 cup Green grapes Firm and taut grapes.
  • 1 cup Blueberries Fresh and in season for best flavor.
  • 1 cup Purple grapes Fresh and full for good texture.

Dip

  • 1 cup Vanilla yogurt Choose full-fat or Greek style for richness.

Preparation

  • Wash all fruit thoroughly, removing any dirt or residue.
  • Hull strawberries and slice larger ones in half so they sit neatly on the skewer.
  • Segment oranges by cutting away the peel and pith, then slice between membranes.
  • Core and slice pineapple into bite-sized chunks.

Assembly

  • On a clean surface, lay pieces out in color sequence: strawberries, oranges, pineapple, green grapes, blueberries, purple grapes.
  • Thread pieces onto skewers, alternating sizes and shapes.

Serving

  • Spoon vanilla yogurt into a small serving bowl and place it next to the skewers.
  • Arrange skewers on a platter in a single layer or fan them.
  • Serve immediately or cover and chill briefly.

Notes

These skewers are best enjoyed within 2 hours at room temperature and can be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Store un-dipped skewers and yogurt separately for best texture.
