Cinnamon Sugar Coating

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, fully blending after each addition.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.
  • Gradually add this dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped apples.
  • In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
  • Roll the dough into small balls and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Place the balls on a baking sheet and gently flatten each one.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool on a wire rack before indulging.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container to maintain freshness. For longer storage, freeze them in a single layer before transferring to a freezer-safe bag. They’ll stay good for up to three months!
