Ingredients
  

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (for swirl)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for swirl)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for swirl)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream (for glaze)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare muffin tin.
  • Mix dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another.
  • Combine gently to form muffin batter.
  • Layer batter and cinnamon swirl, swirling gently with a toothpick.
  • Bake 18–20 minutes and cool before glazing.

Notes

Use pure pumpkin puree for best texture. To make ahead, bake muffins and glaze before serving.
