Pasta Ingredients

  • 8 ounces short pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni) Short shapes are best for sauce adherence.

Meat Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 6 slices bacon Cooked and crispy for smoky flavor.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese Adds creaminess and depth.
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Boil the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain the excess fat.
  • Meanwhile, in a separate pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Crumble and set aside.

Combine Ingredients

  • In the same skillet with the meat, reduce the heat and add both cream cheese and shredded cheddar. Stir until melted and creamy.
  • Add the cooked pasta, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the skillet. Toss until fully combined and heated through.
  • Check for seasoning and adjust if needed. Serve hot!

Notes

Garnish with extra cheese and freshly chopped parsley. Pairs well with a green salad or garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
