  • 2 cups shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella) Feel free to experiment with different cheese types.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes evenly at the bottom.
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat and season with salt and pepper.
  • Once cooked, spread the ground beef evenly over the potato layer.
  • Pour the creamy soup evenly over the meat, ensuring all areas are covered.
  • Add any additional vegetables if desired.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously on top of everything.

Baking

  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  • After 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator. For longer storage, freeze portions in freezer-safe containers for up to three months. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
