Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef can substitute with ground turkey for a leaner option
  • 1 count onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 count bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni can substitute with whole grain macaroni for a healthier option
  • 1 tsp paprika key seasoning for flavor
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning key seasoning for flavor
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional) can be added for topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain the excess fat after it’s fully cooked.
  • Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Mix in the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, elbow macaroni, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the macaroni is tender.
  • If desired, sprinkle cheese over the top and cover again until it melts. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Serve with a crusty loaf of bread for dipping, a fresh salad, or roasted vegetables. Top with sour cream or parsley for added flavor.
