  • 1 cup yogurt Can use Greek yogurt for a thicker consistency.
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese Feel free to replace with a lactose-free alternative.
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • to taste Salt

For Cooking

  • 500 g boneless chicken Chicken can be replaced with paneer or tofu for a vegetarian version.
  • 2 tablespoons oil For cooking.
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine yogurt, cream, grated cheese, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to form a rich marinade.
  • Add the boneless chicken pieces into the marinade, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for deeper flavor absorption.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a tawa or skillet over medium heat.
  • Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator and place it on the hot tawa.
  • Cook the chicken for about 7-10 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and beautifully golden brown.
  • Once done, garnish with freshly chopped coriander.
  • Serve hot alongside naan or rice for a complete meal.

Notes

For the best flavor, let the chicken marinate as long as possible. Serve with naan, basmati rice, or cucumber raita for a balanced meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
