  • 1 cup caramel sauce Warm before use.
  • 1/2 cup peanuts or other nuts You can substitute based on preference.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 cup candy corn Optional, for added sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips Optional, for chocolate lovers.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, gently mix the Chex cereal, chopped apples, and nuts.
  • In a small saucepan, warm the caramel sauce over low heat until it becomes slightly runny.
  • Drizzle the warm caramel over the cereal mixture and stir carefully to coat all the ingredients.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon over the mix and stir until evenly distributed.
  • If desired, add in the candy corn and chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
  • Spread the entire mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, break it into clusters and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain crunch. Can freeze portions in resealable bags for a few months.
