Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
  • Beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl until creamy.
  • Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, then cut into fun shapes.
  • Place the cutouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cool completely before decorating with icing and sprinkles if desired.

Notes
