- 1 lb Italian sausage (450 g, mild or spicy)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (15 ml)
- 1 medium onion diced
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 4 cups chicken broth (960 ml)
- 1 cup heavy cream (240 ml)
- 16 oz potato gnocchi (450 g)
- 2 cups fresh spinach (60 g)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (50 g)
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
- Salt & pepper to taste
