Cranberry Orange Glazed Turkey: A Festive Twist on a Holiday Classic

This Cranberry Orange Glazed Turkey is the ultimate Thanksgiving centerpiece. Sweet, tangy, and juicy with a spiced citrus glaze.

Ingredients
  

  • - 1 whole turkey 10–12 lbs
  • - Salt & pepper to taste
  • - 2 oranges sliced
  • - 1 onion quartered
  • - Fresh rosemary and thyme
  • - 3 tbsp olive oil
  •  

For the glaze:

  • - 1 ½ cups fresh cranberries
  • - ½ cup orange juice
  • - 2 tbsp orange zest
  • - ¼ cup honey
  • - 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • - ½ tsp cinnamon
  • - ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • - ¼ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove giblets, pat turkey dry, season.
  • 2. Stuff cavity with oranges, onion, and herbs. Brush with olive oil.
  • 3. Roast 2.5–3 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
  • 4. Combine glaze ingredients in saucepan. Simmer 15–20 minutes. Blend slightly.
  • 5. During final 30 minutes, glaze turkey every 10 minutes.
  • 6. Internal temp should reach 165°F (74°C). Let rest 15–20 minutes. Serve.

Notes

You can use leftover glaze as a sauce on the side. Perfect with leftover sliders the next day.
