  • 1 cup butter, softened Make sure the butter is at room temperature.
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the sugar and softened butter until smooth.
  • Add flour, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
  • Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Gently press down on each ball to flatten slightly.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let the treats cool.

Decoration

  • Once cool, decorate with icing and sprinkles as you like.

Notes

To keep your treats fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. If needed, freeze them wrapped well.
