Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups shredded chicken (cooked) Use rotisserie chicken or poached chicken for best results.
  • 8 slices ham (sliced) Thinly sliced deli ham works well.
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese Thin slices for easy melting.
  • 8 pieces slider buns Soft dinner rolls or Hawaiian rolls are ideal.

Butter-Mustard Glaze

  • 1/2 cup butter (melted) Unsalted butter preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard Use a quality Dijon for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Adjust based on the saltiness of the ham.
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, Dijon mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a baking dish snugly together.

Assembling and Baking

  • Evenly distribute the shredded chicken across the bottom halves, then top with slices of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese per slider.
  • Place the top halves of the buns onto the fillings and brush the butter-mustard mixture generously over the top.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown, starting to check around the 12-minute mark.
  • Let sit for 2 minutes before slicing between rolls to separate sliders.

Notes

For best texture, serve warm. To avoid soggy sliders, ensure the chicken is not overly wet and snugly arrange the buns.
