Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the potatoes, sliced sausage, ranch seasoning, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Add melted butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper; mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and cover with foil.
Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil, top with remaining cheddar cheese, and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
