  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • a pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cups dried apple slices, chopped Could substitute with dried cherries or cranberries.
  • 3/4 cup caramel morsels Consider white chocolate morsels as an alternative.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  • Stir in the pecan halves, ensuring they’re evenly coated with the butter mixture.
  • Add the pretzels to the bowl, mixing until they too are thoroughly coated.
  • Spread the nut and pretzel mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, stirring twice for even crispiness.
  • Once golden, remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
  • When cooled, toss the mixture with the chopped dried apple slices and caramel morsels.
  • Store your delicious party mix in an airtight container for up to a week.
