Ingredients
  

  • - 3 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes peeled and cubed
  • - 6 garlic cloves peeled
  • - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • - 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • - 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • - Salt and black pepper to taste
  • - Optional garnish: chopped chives or parsley

Instructions
 

  • 1. Boil potatoes and garlic in salted water until tender (15–20 min).
  • 2. In a saucepan, warm cream, butter, and rosemary for 5 min. Remove rosemary.
  • 3. Mash potatoes and garlic until smooth.
  • 4. Slowly stir in warm cream mixture until creamy.
  • 5. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with chives, and serve warm.

Notes

Roast the garlic before mashing for a sweeter flavor. Perfect for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners.
