  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh is recommended for best results.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce For gluten-free, use tamari.
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce Check for gluten-free options if needed.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch To thicken the sauce.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For cooking.
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil and stir-fry the broccoli for about 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Return the beef to the skillet, pour the sauce over the mixture, and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over rice.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to three months. Consider topping with sesame seeds or chopped green onions for extra flavor.
