  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder Use Dutch-processed for mellow flavor or natural for a brighter note.
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar Adjust based on preference.
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups whole milk For a creamier drink, substitute part with half-and-half.
  • 1 ounce dark chocolate, roughly chopped Choose 60–70% cacao for the best balance.
  • 2 ounces Baileys Irish Cream
  • 2 ounces Jameson Irish Whiskey

Preparation

  • Pour 2 cups of whole milk into a medium saucepan and warm it gently over medium heat until the surface steams. Do not let it reach a rolling boil.
  • Off the heat, whisk in cocoa powder, sugar, chopped dark chocolate, and salt until smooth.
  • Stir in Baileys Irish Cream and Jameson Irish Whiskey until well combined.
  • Ladle the Baileys Hot Chocolate into mugs and serve immediately, optionally topping with whipped cream or cocoa dust.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 48 hours. Reheat slowly and whisk to combine before serving.
