Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, then spread them evenly in a greased baking dish.
  • In another bowl, combine brown sugar, rolled oats, flour, cinnamon, melted butter, and salt to create the streusel topping.
  • Sprinkle the streusel mixture over the apples evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  • Let cool before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or cold as a snack. Can be stored at room temperature for a couple of days or refrigerated for a week. Freeze for up to three months.
