Apple Cinnamon Roll – A Cozy Fall Dessert

Ingredients
  

For the dough:

  • - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • - 1 packet instant yeast 2 1/4 tsp
  • - 1/2 tsp salt
  • - 3/4 cup warm milk
  • - 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • - 1 large egg
  •  

For the filling:

  • - 2 cups apples peeled and diced
  • - 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • - 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • - 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  •  

For the glaze:

  • - 1 cup powdered sugar
  • - 2–3 tbsp milk
  • - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • 1. Combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix into a dough, knead until smooth. Let rise 1 hour.
  • 2. Mix diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, and vanilla.
  • 3. Roll dough into rectangle. Spread filling evenly. Roll tightly into a log, slice into 10–12 rolls.
  • 4. Place rolls in greased baking dish. Let rise 30 minutes. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden.
  • 5. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Use Granny Smith apples for tartness or Honeycrisp for sweetness. Add caramel drizzle or nuts for variation.
