Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour blend.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Coconut sugar can be used for a different flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs Can substitute with flax eggs or unsweetened applesauce.
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Filling and Topping

  • 2 medium apples Peeled, cored, and chopped.
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar For sprinkling.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For sprinkling.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar For glaze.
  • 1 tablespoon milk For glaze.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For glaze.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  • Gradually stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped apples gently, making sure they are evenly distributed.

Assembly

  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  • Sprinkle half of this cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter in the pan.
  • Add the remaining batter, topping it with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Using a knife or skewer, swirl the batter to create a marbled effect.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Glazing

  • While the bread cools, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  • Once cooled, drizzle the glaze over the bread, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

Best served warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Can pair with coffee or apple cider.
