  • 1 cup Cornmeal For that irresistible crunch

  • 1 large Egg For binding the coating
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Preparation

  • Begin by slicing the dill pickles into chips, about half an inch thick.
  • In a bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, and your chosen seasonings.
  • In another bowl, beat an egg until well mixed.
  • Dip each pickle slice into the egg, ensuring it’s fully coated, then roll it in the cornmeal mixture until well covered.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the coated pickles in the air fryer basket in a single layer, taking care not to overcrowd.
  • Spray them lightly with cooking spray.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are crispy and golden.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For an elevated presentation, consider garnishing with fresh herbs or serving alongside a refreshing cucumber salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container and consume within 2-3 days. Reheat in the air fryer to regain crispiness.
