Chicken Preparation

Breading Mixture

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups panko breading

Buffalo Sauce

  • 1 cup buffalo sauce

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F and spray the basket with nonstick spray.
  • Set out three separate bowls. In the first bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, and salt. In the second bowl, add the beaten eggs. In the third bowl, add the panko breading.

Coating

  • Dredge each chicken piece first in the flour mixture, then the eggs, and finally, the panko.

Cooking

  • Place chicken in a single even layer in the basket of the air fryer. Work in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry for 8 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through. The chicken is fully cooked when its internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Transfer the chicken to a large bowl and top with buffalo sauce, gently tossing to coat.
  • OPTIONAL: Place the chicken back in the air fryer for an additional 3-4 minutes if you want them crispier.

Serving

  • Serve with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing, and crunchy celery or carrot sticks.

Notes

Cut the chicken into even pieces for uniform cooking and do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure crispiness. Adjust buffalo sauce quantity based on preferred spiciness.
