Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed Use ripe, fragrant watermelon for the best sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice Avoid bottled juice for brightness.

Optional Mix-ins

  • 1-2 teaspoons honey Optional; can be added if the watermelon lacks sweetness.
  • handful fresh mint leaves Optional; adds a cooling, herbaceous twist.
  • 1 cup strawberries or raspberries Optional; adds a deeper color and tangy complexity.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Blend the cubed seedless watermelon in a high-speed blender or food processor until the mixture is silky and no chunks remain.
  • Add fresh lime juice to the puréed watermelon and blend for another 10-15 seconds to incorporate.

Freezing

  • Pour the mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe dish and place it in the freezer.
  • Stir vigorously every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours until it reaches a spoonable, sorbet-like consistency.

Serving

  • Once frozen, scoop the sorbet into bowls or cones and serve immediately.
  • If the sorbet hardens too much, let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping.

Notes

Store leftover sorbet in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one week. Press plastic wrap against the surface to reduce ice crystal formation.
