Scale
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup salted butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and set it aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until smooth.

  5. Add the all-purpose flour and baking powder to the wet mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  6. Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
