Description

A fun and easy treat that combines salty and sweet flavors, perfect for Halloween parties or movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 35 saltine crackers
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 10 oz bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Halloween sprinkles for decorating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the saltines in neat rows.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly.
  4. Boil for 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  5. Carefully pour the butter and brown sugar mixture over the saltines, spreading it with a rubber spatula.
  6. Bake in the oven for 4-5 minutes until browned and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let sit for 5 minutes to soften, then spread evenly across the saltines.
  8. Decorate with eye candies, Halloween sprinkles, Reese’s pieces, and candy corn.
  9. Place the tray in the fridge for at least 1-2 hours until the chocolate hardens.
  10. Once set, break into pieces and serve. Store any leftovers in a Ziploc bag in the freezer.

Notes

Watch the butter and sugar mixture closely while boiling to prevent burning. You can personalize your Halloween Crack with different types of candies.
