Description

Delicious and guilt-free apple fritters made in the air fryer for a crispy treat without the oil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free blend)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or applesauce for dairy-free)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the apples into real chunks, not too tiny.
  2. In a bowl, mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon) separately from wet ingredients (Greek yogurt).
  3. Fold the apples and optional extras into the mixture gently.
  4. Scoop mounds of the batter onto parchment paper, ensuring they’re thick.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and place the fritters inside without overcrowding.
  6. Cook until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes, checking halfway through.
  7. Allow to cool slightly and drizzle with glaze, if desired. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For extra sweetness, dust with cinnamon sugar while warm. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for 2 minutes for best results.
