Description
Delicious and guilt-free apple fritters made in the air fryer for a crispy treat without the oil.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free blend)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or applesauce for dairy-free)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts
Instructions
- Peel and chop the apples into real chunks, not too tiny.
- In a bowl, mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon) separately from wet ingredients (Greek yogurt).
- Fold the apples and optional extras into the mixture gently.
- Scoop mounds of the batter onto parchment paper, ensuring they’re thick.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and place the fritters inside without overcrowding.
- Cook until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes, checking halfway through.
- Allow to cool slightly and drizzle with glaze, if desired. Enjoy warm!
Notes
For extra sweetness, dust with cinnamon sugar while warm. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for 2 minutes for best results.
