Description
Crispy and crunchy fried pickles made in the air fryer, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 jar of dill pickle chips (about 24–30 thick slices, drained and patted dry)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- Nonstick spray or a brush of oil for the basket
Instructions
- Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko, parmesan, and seasonings mixed together.
- Dunk each pickle chip in flour, shake off the excess, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mix.
- Arrange the breaded pickles on a tray and let them sit while preheating the air fryer.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes and spray or brush the basket with oil.
- Arrange the breaded pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 7 to 9 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crunchy.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
For an extra kick, mix cayenne with the panko breadcrumbs. If using homemade pickles, slice them thick and pat dry before breading.
